Nykaza Family History...Finding the dash!

When loved ones pass away you get two dates, a birth date and a death date separated by a little dash. The dates are important...but the dash is everything!

About This Blog

The Nykaza family comes out of a little tiny area in southern Poland that has not had it's church records microfilmed. For this reason, I can only research the family that has come to America. From the first generation of immigrants. Michal is probably brother or son to many of the other Nykaza's in Chicago, and possibly New York during the same time period, but since there are no records to tie them together yet...we start with him and his wife Anna. They are the parents of 10 children, and what I can find of these children, their wives and posterity fill this blog under "Nykaza Family Members". Most of the information will belong to Wojciech and Helen and their children as they are who I know!

Helen's family, the Storc/Stortz/Sztorc line, comes through the Tarnow area of Poland. Everything for this area has been microfilmed, and I can trace Helen back to a great, great, great...grandfather born in the late 1600's. Her line will be under the Storc Family in the sidebar.

I will try to put everything up that I find dealing with the family, but I won't put up any "skeletons" that would hurt feelings or cause contention. If something is ever put on that you are uncomfortable with, please let me know and I will take it down! But this blog is everyone's! If you have memories, stories, pictures...anything that you would like to share, please let me know! I can either add you as an author or you can email things to me and I'll get them up! As for living family, I leave that up to you all---share what you want...keep private what you wish.

Hopefully this little blog will evolve and truly hold all of the wonderful family history that is out there for the Nykaza/Storc clan!
